Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Engineering was started in the year 2011 and Ph.D. in Information Technology was started in 2013. A doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering is a professional, academic programme that lasts two to six years at most. The programme covers extensive knowledge, analysis, and research in the discipline of Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology. 
 

Advanced algorithms, statistical techniques in AI, information security, database systems, computer networks, and much more are taught in PhD programmes. Students can pursue a programme of research in a specialised field and create a dissertation that reflects the findings of original research and demonstrates outstanding scholarship through the PhD in CSE and Information Technology degree. The department at present has 68 faculty members from across the country with rich experience in the Industry and Academics including 55 Ph.D. holders and 13 pursuing their Ph.D. 

 

 

 

Computers are the major part in today’s life. The rapid growth of information technology has made computer industry, one of the fastest growing segments. Comprehending the knowledge of computer enables the researcher to adapt to ever changing nature in the field of computer science. The competencies inculcated during the course can be transferred to other disciplines to enrich the content of various disciplines. The two year Post graduate program M. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering started in 2009. The course was started mainly to cater to the increasing demand for higher studies. A growing intake with students from across the nation shows the popularity of the program. The Department strives to give skills essential to practicing engineering professionals. The department understands its role in developing and evaluating methods that encourage students to continue to learn after leaving the university. We believe that the student opportunities and experiences should lead to an appreciation of the holistic development of individuals.

We also try to pass to our students our passion for what we do, and to have the students comprehend that we also desire to continue to learn. The Post graduate program aims to offer advanced knowledge in specific areas. Focus on research is a special feature of our program, in CHRIST (Deemed to be University) School of Engineering and Technology where students are encouraged to undertake research level projects and have mandatory publications in national level conferences. Specific subjects for industry level skills are also offered for better employability.

Tech Computer Science and Engineering is a 4-year, 8 semester Undergraduate program that equips students with a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of Computer Science and Engineering. Cryptography, Data mining, Big Data, Digital Image Processing, Cloud Computing, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things etc. This course emphasizes on developing necessary skills for students to sustain the industrial expectation, in pursuit of excellence by keeping high personal and professional values and ethics.

 

 
A Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering specializing in Cyber Security is an undergraduate program focused on building foundational knowledge in computer science while equipping students with specialized skills in cyber security. Cyber Security is a comprehensive undergraduate program that combines the foundational principles of computer science with advanced concepts in securing digital systems. Students gain expertise in programming, algorithms, database management, and computer networks while delving into specialized topics like cryptography, ethical hacking, malware analysis, and digital forensics.
 
The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with hands-on training, enabling students to simulate cyberattacks, design secure systems, and analyze vulnerabilities in real-world scenarios. This program prepares graduates for in-demand roles such as Cyber Security Analyst, Ethical Hacker, Forensic Analyst, and Network Security Engineer. Students gain an AI impact in IoT across industry-based applications such as smart cities, healthcare,  ndustrial IoT, Smart Transportation & Smart Farming. Opportunities abound in roles such as Smart Cities Initiatives, Research and Development (R&D) Centers, System Design Engineer, Application Developer, and IOT Technology Architect.

The program also equips students with a strong professional skill such as team building, presentation skills and problem solving. In CHRIST, students get ample
chances to work on live industry problems and real-life problems, where they provide solutions through their gained knowledge in the relevant field as service learning.
