The MCom programme is designed to provide students with advanced, specialised knowledge in core commerce subjects, enhanced by creativity and problem-solving skills through innovative pedagogy and hands-on activities. In response to the evolving demands of the corporate world, the curriculum includes digital skills training in areas such as computer programming, data analytics and visualisation, and generative AI. These competencies are developed through courses like Data Visualisation and Dashboarding, Python Programming for Data Analysis, and Business Analytics. Additionally, industry-relevant certifications in Financial Modelling using Excel and SAP are offered as supplementary courses. To further enrich the learning experience, the programme includes weekly Corporate and Academic Training sessions and Personality Development workshops aimed at holistic skill development. Students gain practical experience through a semester-long corporate or teaching internship, complemented by a 30-hour social sensitisation programme, all part of the programme's commitment to experiential learning.
Furthermore, students have the opportunity to enhance their professional qualifications by enrolling in certifications such as the CMA (offered by IMA, USA), CISI (offered by CISI, UK), and courses available through the Bloomberg lab.
