The Department of chemistry is one of the dynamic departments at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), established in 1969. We have a diverse student population with representation from almost all states of India and abroad. The department is blessed with highly qualified faculty members who are from diverse backgrounds and involved in leading research in different areas of the subject as well as interdisciplinary areas. The curriculum undergoes frequent revision and provides opportunities for projects and joint research with faculty members.

The postgraduate program currently offers opportunities to specialize in organic, analytical, and general chemistry. Apart from curricular subjects, the department provides personality development and society-oriented programs, career guidance, placement, and opportunities to organize and participate in competitions, seminars, and conferences.
